Featured "In Danger" Artist: Luis Carrasco

If you have watched Noah, The Great Wall, Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Jurassic World, World War Z or Pacific Rim, you have enjoyed some of Luis Carrasco’s recent concept art. Art is his life; why he wakes up in the morning and why he loses sleep at night. Despite the stress, however, Luis insists that art is the best part of any day. He worked for 5 years as a concept artist at Industrial Light and Magic, a studio under Disney/Lucasfilm, and is also passionate about teaching, having created several online tutorials for others to use.

Luis was inspired by his brother who was “the artist in the family” and didn’t realize until the end of high school that art was his passion. Luis says he would have no imagination without nature and that all of his works draw from life, no matter the subject matter.
