Featured "In Danger" Artist: J.A.W. Cooper

J.A.W. Cooper was born in England to a South African/British mother and an American father - both freshwater ecologists. Cooper grew up in Kenya, Sweden, Ireland, various other countries across Europe, and California, and currently lives and works as an illustrator, art director, and fine artist in Los Angeles. Drawing was the perfect easily-transportable hobby for a traveling child and the exposure to new and exciting locations fostered a love of animals and a deep respect for the wild from an early age.

Expedition Art is so fortunate to have artwork from J.A.W. Cooper in the “In Danger” book! Here’s her art from the book for your viewing pleasure!

“I chose to draw the ocelot because of its striking markings and lithe silhouette.” - J.A.W. Cooper
